RHYTOPIA Subscription Terms of Use

Version 2026-10-03.1Effective October 3, 2026 Subscription Terms Consumer Billing

These Subscription Terms of Use (the "Subscription Terms") govern RHYTOPIA's paid subscription plans and the consumer billing relationship between you and RHYTOPIA (the "Platform", "we", "us", or "our"). They form part of the RHYTOPIA Terms of Use, which continue to apply in full; where these Subscription Terms talk specifically about money - plans, trials, billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds - these Subscription Terms apply. Subscriptions are sold through Paddle, our Merchant of Record, which handles checkout, payment, tax and invoices on our behalf. If you are a consumer, these terms are written to sit alongside - never to take away - the mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

These Subscription Terms sit under the general Terms of Use and work together with the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Policy.

01What These Terms Cover (and What They Do Not)

These Subscription Terms apply whenever you purchase or hold a paid RHYTOPIA subscription plan - currently Starter, VIP, or Enterprise - through RHYTOPIA's pricing page. They explain what each plan includes, how trials and billing work, how to cancel, and what happens to your access when things change. They are written for the everyday subscriber: plain language, no small-print surprises, and a clear statement of your rights before you pay and for as long as you stay.

They do not cover purchases you make from other creators in the RHYTOPIA marketplace, which are processed by Selar as the seller of record and governed by their own checkout terms - see the Payments section of the Terms of Use for the split. They also do not replace the main Terms of Use (which govern your general use of the Platform), the Privacy Policy, or the Refund & Cancellation Policy; these documents work together, and links between them are provided throughout.

RHYTOPIA is operated by our team, but your subscription payment, invoice, tax handling and card statement are administered by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), acting as Merchant of Record. This means Paddle is the seller on record for your subscription, and your payment relationship (card charges, receipts, dunning emails, customer portal) is with Paddle on our behalf.

02Plans and What Your Subscription Includes

RHYTOPIA offers self-serve subscription tiers with two billing periods - monthly and annual - plus an organization tier. The plan descriptions, features and localized prices shown on the pricing page at the moment you subscribe form part of these terms. The core plans are:

  • Starter - for serious creators who want the full studio experience: collaboration starts (5-15 per month depending on your creator type, versus credit-only starts on the free tier), 10 GB of storage (versus 150 MB on the free tier), 100 uploads per month (versus 10 free), 25 marketplace listings per month (versus 5 free), and no advertising. The on-demand media player and the radio are free for everyone. Available monthly or annually, each with a 7-day free trial.
  • VIP - everything in Starter plus 20 collaboration starts per month and the creator live toolkit: the ability to go live and create live events, API access, social media automation, third-party app integrations, and early access to new VIP features. Available monthly or annually, each with a 7-day free trial.
  • Enterprise - an annual organization license for labels, collectives and companies that need more than self-serve limits. It is not sold through the checkout: contact support and we will set your organization up directly, with a separate written agreement where appropriate.

03Free Trials

Self-serve plans include a seven (7) day free trial. During the trial you get the full features of the plan you selected. You will not be charged during the trial, and you can cancel at any point in those seven days without paying anything.

A payment method is required at sign-up. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to the paid plan you selected and your payment method is charged the plan price for the billing period you chose (monthly or annual). We show the exact amount, currency and renewal date in the checkout before you confirm, and Paddle emails you a receipt for every charge.

Free trials are intended for one use per person. Where we detect trial abuse - repeated trials across accounts, fraudulent payment methods, or other bad-faith sign-ups - we may decline or end the trial in line with Section 9 (Fair Use) and the main Terms of Use.

04Billing, Auto-Renewal and Price Changes

Subscriptions renew automatically: monthly plans renew every month on your sign-up date, and annual plans renew every twelve months. This is how subscriptions keep working without you having to re-buy them each period - but it also means you are charged at each renewal until you cancel, which you can do at any time (Section 5). Paddle charges your saved payment method and issues your invoice automatically.

Prices are shown in your local currency where Paddle supports it, with all applicable taxes calculated and collected by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Regional pricing may apply in some countries (for example, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia have locally-set prices). The price you confirmed at checkout - including any country-specific pricing - is the price of your subscription for as long as it runs continuously.

If we change a plan's price, we will give you at least thirty (30) days' advance notice by email and/or a notice in the Platform before the new price applies to your next renewal. If you do not accept the new price, you can cancel before the change takes effect and your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for - you will not be charged the new price for a period you have already rejected by cancelling. Continuing after the effective date of a price change means you accept it for subsequent periods.

05How to Cancel - Anytime, Self-Service

You can cancel your subscription at any time, for any reason, without contacting us first and without explaining yourself. Cancel through the billing portal linked from your account (it opens Paddle's customer portal, where you can also update your payment method and see your invoices), or email support@rhytopia.com and we will cancel it for you.

When you cancel, your plan stays fully active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and then simply does not renew. You will not be charged again after cancelling. We do not delete your uploads or your account when a subscription lapses - your account returns to the free tier, and anything that exceeds free-tier limits (for example storage above 150 MB) becomes read-only or pausable rather than being destroyed; see the main Terms of Use for how we handle over-limit content.

If you cancel during a free trial, access ends immediately and you are charged nothing. If you were charged in error after a cancellation you made in good time, tell us and we will fix it - see the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

06Refunds

Refunds for subscriptions are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Subscription Terms. In short: if something is broken on our side, you were charged in error, or a statutory right applies, we refund - through Paddle, to your original payment method. Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, refund requests are processed by Paddle, and Paddle's own buyer policies may also protect you.

Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory right of withdrawal or refund you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence - for example, under EU and UK distance-selling rules, or the guarantees under Australian Consumer Law. Where those rules apply to your purchase, they apply alongside this policy, and where a conflict exists, your statutory rights win.

07Your Consumer Rights

These Subscription Terms are written for a consumer-first service, and they are not designed to opt you out of anything the law gives you. Depending on where you live, mandatory consumer protections may include the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within a cooling-off window, the right to services performed with reasonable care and skill, remedies when digital content is faulty, protections against unfair contract terms, and specific guarantees under laws such as the Australian Consumer Law, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, EU consumer law, or the Nigerian Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act.

If any part of these Subscription Terms, the Terms of Use, or any other RHYTOPIA policy is found to be unenforceable or unfair under the consumer law that applies to you, that part is adjusted or removed to the minimum extent required - the rest of the agreement keeps working for both of us. Nothing here removes or reduces your right to take a billing dispute to your card issuer or a consumer protection body; we only ask (Section 11) that you tell us first so we can try to make it right quickly.

08Failed Payments, Grace and Paused Access

If a renewal payment fails - an expired card, insufficient funds, a blocked charge - Paddle's dunning flow retries the charge and emails you to update your payment method. While a payment is overdue, your account may enter a short past-due grace period during which your paid features keep working so that a temporary card issue does not cut your work in half.

If the payment still cannot be completed, the subscription may be paused automatically, which suspends paid-tier access until billing is restored, or cancelled outright at the end of the dunning window. Restoring a paused subscription is as simple as updating your payment method in the billing portal - your plan picks up where it left off. Your content is never deleted during payment issues; the over-limit handling described in Section 5 applies.

We treat payment-failure emails from Paddle as genuine billing communication. If you receive one but believe you have already paid, contact support@rhytopia.com rather than re-subscribing, so we can reconcile the charge instead of double-charging you.

09Fair Use of Your Subscription

A subscription covers one person: yours. Account sharing, reselling access, automating consumption beyond reasonable human use, or otherwise treating a single plan as a multi-seat license is not covered by any plan (organizations needing many seats should talk to us about Enterprise instead). This keeps prices sustainable for the creators the platform exists for.

We may suspend or end a subscription - with notice and a proportionate refund for time not used where we end it for reasons other than your breach - if an account seriously or repeatedly breaches the main Terms of Use: for example, uploading content you do not have rights to, circumventing the fingerprinting and attribution systems, fraud, or abuse of other users. Ordinary disagreements are handled under Section 5 (you cancel) rather than by us cutting you off.

10Changes to Plans and to These Terms

We keep improving the platform, and that means plan features change: capabilities are added, beta features roll out, and occasionally something is retired. Feature changes that reduce the core value of your plan entitle you to cancel and, where required by law or fairness, receive a pro-rata refund for the remainder of the period you have paid for. Improvements and additions simply become part of your plan.

These Subscription Terms may be updated from time to time; the version and effective date at the top of this page always reflect the current text. Material changes - especially anything affecting price, renewal or cancellation - will be communicated in advance as described in Section 4. Your continued subscription after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance; if you disagree, cancel before that date and finish the period you already paid for.

11Billing Questions and Disputes

If you do not recognise a charge, think you were billed twice, or believe a cancellation did not take effect, please email support@rhytopia.com (billing) or legal@rhytopia.app (legal) before starting a chargeback with your bank. We can see the full billing history on our side and, in most cases, resolve or reverse an erroneous charge within days - a chargeback takes weeks and may result in the associated account being paused while the dispute is open.

Where a chargeback is filed in good faith over a genuine error, we treat it as normal billing communication once resolved. Where a chargeback is filed to obtain services without paying after a completed, working subscription period, we may suspend access and pursue the outstanding amount in line with the main Terms of Use. Either way, your statutory dispute rights are untouched.
